This Owl Post comes to you via the Owl Mini Mobile, from the front yard swing on this beautiful Spring day!
Mama Owl has been oh so busy "Spring-a-fying" the home front nest, as her favorite tunes provide inspiration! Winter's gloom has been chased out of the foyer/hallway area with a makeover. The "Beach Glass" paint looks lovely! Mama Owl is still on the hunt for just the right runner rugs, and is still pondering what other wonderful things will pretty up the space.
The kitchen is wrapped in a nice wash of "Transit Pass" (imagine the color of fresh homemade butter) and the bright blue open style cabinets, with their colorful contents, are smiling! Lots of little red accents and, of course, the vintage owls peering down from the chain cabinet top. The 1940's Peggy cookie jar is giggling at his Rooster neighbor, while the pups are lounging on the cool floor. Even the Lovebirds seem to be smiling. They're all thinking the same thing this fine day - isn't life glorious!
The ManCave (where Mama's soulmate, Papa Dragon, hides out) is a work in progress for sure. "Parakeet Green, a bright shiny limey green (with paint sparkles too!) is working its way around the room, covering the dark wood walls. Even the ceiling is in on the fun, with a little patch of deep black with lots of paint sparkles jazzing it up! Pap's bright dragon curtains are gonna be so happy when its all done.
The living room walls are all spiffy with their soft custom Tiffany box blue! The buttery yellow sofa and love seat look quite beachy against the blue decor! Still lots to do in here, time to get out the ultra white paint and switch up some color! Coffee table (also a storage chest - Mama Owl is a practical kinda girl), end tables, book shelves, even a TV stand - Mama Owl is thinking they would be lovely and much beachier in white! She's even considering adding her prized pink ceramic seashell to the decor! It was, after all, a gift from Mama Owl's late mother many many years ago. It holds sweet memories and prompts smiles and sometimes a few tears. But it's all good, as balance is essential in life!
The Chaotic Zen room (Mama's very favorite room) is Radiant Orchid. Mama is seriously thinking about how magical the space would be with a second coat of Radiant Orchid with silver paint sparkles stirred in! Since the vintage chandelier likes the idea, Mama is making plans to make some magic very soon!
Still there are more rooms that need happiness, and time is flying by! And so, Mama Owl will leave you with some thoughts before she scurries away to work on her nest!
Even the tiniest things can change someone's day. Always smile at strangers, always help when you can, and please cherish each moment with those you love!
Until next time, Brightest Blessings to all my dear friends, even the ones I've yet to meet! Toodle Loo!
